KEYNOTE MESSAGES FOR CHRISTIAN WRITERS

God calls men and women to many forms of ministry — preaching, teaching, singing, serving — and writing. Through these keynote messages, Jeaninne Stokes offers biblical encouragement and practical inspiration to help Christian writers recognize their calling, prepare for it, launch it, and faithfully live it out. Each message is grounded in Scripture and designed to strengthen writers at every stage of their writing ministry.

CATEGORY 1:  Answering the Call of Writing for Ministry

Helping writers recognize, embrace, and respond to God’s call to write.

The Call of Writing

Theme: Recognizing God’s Call to Write for His Kingdom Just as God called Moses at the burning bush, He also calls men and women today to specific ministries — including the ministry of writing. In this keynote, Jeaninne helps Christian writers recognize writing not merely as a talent or interest, but as a divine assignment. Through Moses’ story, you’ll explore how God initiates a writing call, how He prepares you to respond, and how embracing this call can reshape your life and purpose for His Kingdom.

Honey, I’m Pregnant: Embracing the Birth of Your Writing Ministry

Theme: Understanding the Birth of Your Writing Call When God calls you to write for His Kingdom, it can feel like carrying a growing vision—waiting for the right moment to bring it into the world. In this keynote, Jeaninne shares her personal story of becoming “pregnant” with her writing ministry and draws from Mary’s visit to Elisabeth to explore how to recognize the birth God is preparing in you, how to share your calling with those closest to you, and how to seek the support you need as you move toward delivery.

When God Changes Your Plans

Theme: Embracing God’s Redirection in Your Writing Journey When God calls you to write for His Kingdom, He may redirect your life in ways you never expected. In this keynote, Jeaninne shares how God changed her own life plans when He called her to write for ministry and how to recognize when He is reshaping yours. You’ll learn how to surrender your original plans, trust His new direction, and embrace the unexpected path He designs for your writing journey.

CATEGORY 2: Preparing for the Call of Writing for Ministry

Guiding writers through the spiritual formation God uses to prepare them for ministry.

Three Reasons for the Wilderness: Why God Prepares Writers Through Seasons of Testing

Theme: Understanding God’s Preparation Process Before stepping into a writing ministry, many new Christian writers experience a season of spiritual testing—much like Jesus in the wilderness. In this keynote, Jeaninne explains three reasons God may lead you into a wilderness season and the essential inner work He accomplishes there. You’ll discover what God wants you to learn about yourself and how these lessons strengthen you for the ministry of writing ahead.

From Anointment to Appointment

Theme: Trusting God’s Timing for Your Writing Ministry After answering God’s call to write, many new Christian writers face a long season of waiting before stepping fully into authorship. In this keynote, Jeaninne explores the purpose of this waiting season and how God uses it—just as He did with David—to shape your character, deepen your faith, and prepare you for the writing ministry He has appointed for you. You’ll learn how to remain faithful, patient, and hopeful as you continue “tending your sheep” and trusting God’s timing.

CATEGORY 3: Launching the Call of Writing for Ministry

Helping writers begin building their ministry with courage, focus, and resilience.

Building the Walls of Your Writing Ministry

Theme: Learning to Overcome Opposition as You Build Your Writing Ministry As you prepare to write for ministry, discouragement, disappointment, and doubt can rise up from within — and opposition can come from without. Using the story of Nehemiah, who served as a cupbearer before God called him to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls, this keynote explores how God often uses ordinary roles to prepare us for extraordinary assignments. Jeaninne shares three ways to face and overcome both internal and external opposition as you begin building the writing ministry God has placed on your heart. You’ll be encouraged to stay focused, strengthened, and faithful as you follow God’s call — just as Nehemiah did when he stepped out of the king’s court and into his divine mission.

CATEGORY 4: Living Out the Call of Writing for Ministry

Encouraging writers to sustain their calling with faithfulness, integrity, and perseverance.

A Charge to Christian Writers

Theme: Living Faithfully and Boldly in Your Writing Ministry Drawing from Paul’s charge to Timothy in his second letter, this keynote offers a powerful exhortation to Christian writers who are living out their call. Jeaninne unpacks Paul’s instructions — to be faithful, courageous, steadfast, and committed to sound doctrine — and applies them to the ministry of writing. You’ll be encouraged to guard your message, persevere in your calling, and write with boldness and integrity as you serve God’s Kingdom through your words.

Stay in Your Lane: Running the Writing Race God Set Before You

Theme: Remaining Faithful to Your Unique Writing Assignment Drawing from Paul’s instruction to run the race set before us, this keynote reminds Christian writers of the importance of staying faithful to the specific writing assignment God has given them. Jeaninne explores how comparison, competition, and distraction can pull writers out of their God‑given lane and how stepping into someone else’s lane can hinder the blessing God intends for your ministry. You’ll be encouraged to embrace your unique calling, focus on the race marked out for you, and write with confidence in the lane God designed specifically for your voice and purpose.
